When life feels overwhelming or uncertain, movement is the practice that steadies me. Yoga has been my anchor for over two decades, and teaching for nearly ten years has only deepened my understanding of how powerful it is to return to the body.
My roots are in dance. For close to 15 years I trained, performed, and competed. I was part of the san jose cleveland ballet company, dedicated 30+ hours a week often working with well respected choreographers. Dance gave me a lifelong connection to my body and a deep appreciation for the refinement and expansion it’s capable of. When I walked out of my first yoga class at Studio City Bikram Yoga. I was immediately hooked. The discipline, structure, and integrity of the practice felt familiar, echoing the rigor of ballet, but also offered me something new that i never had before; a deeper sense of presence, steadiness, and inner awareness.
I am a 300-hour registered yoga teacher, having completed my 200-hour training with Bodhi in 2018, a 50-hour Yin intensive in 2019, and Meridian Yoga Therapy (MYT) Practitioner Level 1 – Science of Self (50 hrs) in 2022. These studies continue to inform my approach, but it is lived experience that gives my teaching its shape and purpose: to share yoga as a path of resilience, healing, and coming closer to self.
From my early years in California to my move across the country to New York a decade ago, yoga has been the constant. It has carried me through relationships, transitions, loss and change. it has offered me clarity, connection.
whether a class, workshop, or retreat, I integrate mindful movement, meditation, and the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine. My teaching is rooted in authenticity, something grounded and approachable which offers space to explore.
movement has always been my way back.
Movement has always been my way back, and teaching is my way of sharing that gift. My purpose is to pass along the teachings of yoga as a practice of resilience, refinement, and return.
